macOS build is signed and notarized by Apple. Universal: Apple Silicon and Intel.
Windows users: our certificate is being issued, so Windows may show a "Windows protected your PC" notice on first launch. Click More info then Run anyway. The warning disappears once the certificate is active.
Mac users: allow Screen Recording (required to hear the interviewer)
Without it the app opens but hears nothing. Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording, turn on Interview Buddy, then fully quit and reopen the app.
Interview Buddy only listens to the call's audio, never your microphone or screen.
After you install it
- 1. Open Interview Buddy here and click Generate pairing token.
- 2. Paste the token into the app the first time it opens.
- 3. On Mac: allow Screen Recording (see the note above) — otherwise the app can't hear the interviewer.
- 4. Choose the interview you prepared for, then press Test my setup and play any video to confirm it hears your computer.
- 5. On interview day, press Start listening before the call begins.
